Monk who transformed Uttar Pradesh

Understanding Yogi AdityaNath and achievements of Yogi government.  
  1. Born as Ajay Mohan Bisht ( Born 5 June 1972 ) to a Forest Ranger named Anand Singh Bisht in Pauri Garhwal,  UP (now in UK). 
  2. He holds Bachlor’s degree in Mathematics and left home in 1990’s to join Ayodhya Ram temple movement.
  3. He renounced his family in 1993 at the age of 21and became a disciple of Mahant Aavaidyanath of Nath Sect .
  4. Mahant Digvijay Nath(predecessor of Mahant Aavaidyanath  ) of Gorakhnath Math took control of Ram Janambhoomi on 22nd December 1949.
  5. Digvijay Nath and his successor Mahant Avaidyanath belonged to the Hindu Mahasabha and in 1991 Mahant Avaidhyanath joined BJP.
  6. Yogi became Peethadeshwar (Mahant) of Gorakhnath Math on 14th Sept 2014 after death of his teacher Mahant Aavaidhyanath on 12th sept 2014.
  7. He was elected to Parliament for consecutive 5 terms and he visited his ancestral village regularly. He established a school in 1998 in his ancestral village.
  8. Yogi ji started youth wing "Hindu Yuva Wahini" to fight injustice. He was instrumental in dismantling the links between Moists in Nepal and the Indian Leftist wings.
  9. He was 22nd  CM of UP (sworn in on 26 March 2017).
  10. Fear in the criminals, Gangsters, Mafia, Illegal Arms, Kidnappers, Rapists, Murders etc  makes his administration create fear in their minds. Indian media's campaign to malign Yogi's image by publishing articles like this one in a magazine.   - “AdityaNath’s reign of terror” - The caravan India.
  11. Shutdown of illegal slaughterhouses in UP was taken up by Yogi Government. 
  12. Anti-romeo squads to curb eve teasing menace in UP.
  13. Blanket Ban on cow-smuggling and cow slaughter. a panelty for cow slaughter was increased to 10 years of imprisonment and fine upto 5 lakh. The central government had banned cow slaughter in May, 2017 – purportedly to preserve and improve indigenous breeds, and prohibit the slaughter of cows, calves and other milch and draught cattle. Cow slaughter is now prohibited everywhere in India except in Kerala, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim.
  14. Imposed ban on the vices of tobacco, paan and ghutka in government offices across the state.
  15. Asked government officials to devote 100 hours every year for the Swatch Bharat Mission
  16. 100 “black sheep” policemen were suspended by UP Police
  17. First Cabinet meeting on 4th April 2017 a decision was taken to forgive loans to nearly 87 lakh small and marginal farmers of Up amounting to 363,59,00,00,000 (36359 Crore).
  18. He asked madrasas to submit a video proof of singing Indian national Anthem on India’s Independence Day.
  19. In July 2018 CM of UP, PM of India and President of South Korea inagurated the world’s largest Smartphone manufacturing factory in Noida 
  20. In August 2020 India Today’s “Mood of the Nation” survey showed Adityanath as the best performing CM of India.
  21. 50 MW of power 22 Km long electricity line in a record 4 months for the Samsung mobile plant

  23. July 2021 - Up population control bill (2021-2030) on the event of World population day. Congress called it as “Political agenda” and SP called it as “Murder of Democracy”
  24. Focus on “Ease of doing Business” and helping get investments 
  25. UP economy is second in the country and UP is second in ease of doing business.
  26. In 2017 there were many villages without roads, schools and many tribal people without voting rights.
  27. Endeavor to make UP the largest in terms of GSDP 
  28. Unemployment has come down. Investment has increased, per capita income has increased. 
  29. PM implemented MSP in 2018. Record purchase on MSP Rs 66000 crore has been transferred by DBT to farmers
  30. 1.27 lakh crore paid to sugarcane farmers in the past 4 years.
  31. State govt successfully brought a diversified change in the state. We brought a change in every field
  32. No riots in the state in the past 4 years. The actions of state govt on those who break law and order have set the standard and are taken positively countrywide. Today the perception of the state has changed. UP has become the best place for investment in the country.
  33. The police station has undergone an infrastructural change, 59 police station, 4 women stations, 16 cybercrime station has been established in the state. We are working towards setting forensic labs in 18 ranges. Zero tolerance for crime. 66% drop in dacoit cases, 45% drop in RAPE cases, 19% drop in murder cases. Special focus is given on women's security.
